My love for art goes as far back as I can remember. I started drawing and making things as a child even before I started school. Art was my first love, but like many first loves it was lost and forgotten and new things took its place….
It was during the final semester of my General Education Associates degree that the need for an additional class brought me back to drawing. The connection was instantaneous. Then and there the decision was made to never again be without the joy art brings me.
I am a mixed media artist and have recently been creating three-dimensional art using found objects. Canvas is the main building block for my work. My creations begin with paper-mache, dry wall compound and a variety of found materials. Finally vibrant colors are added using airbrush acrylics and oil paint. Recently I have also experimented with textiles as a material and look forward to adding them to future projects.
